Extreme heat is expected across Tulsa for at least the next week. EMSA has issued a Medical Heat Alert after responding to multiple heat-related calls this week.

Three cooling stations are open during daylight hours for anyone in need of relief.

‣ John 3:16 Mission | 506 N. Cheyenne, open during daylight hours
‣ Salvation Army | 102 N. Denver Ave., open during daylight hours
‣ Tulsa Day Center | 415 West Archer St., open during daylight hours

With the 4th of July approaching, take steps to protect yourself and those around you.

💧 Drink plenty of water.
☀️ Avoid outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day.
👕 Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing.
🚗 Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle.
👵 Check on elderly family members, neighbors, and anyone without reliable air conditioning.
