Over the years our uniforms have changed, but our mission has not. Our mission is to respond to the needs of our communities in any situation where the need arises. Our soldiers are called to give 100%, and then some!

1782: Deborah Sampson disguised herself as Robert Shurtleff and was the first female to join the Army.
1813-1864: Dr. James Barry was one of the best Army surgeons, when he died they discovered he was a women.
1917: WAAC, an organization for women to in supporting roles, was formed and over 100,000 women joined.
1942: Rosie the Riveter was born for the World War 2, which was a branch for women in the army.
1948: Made women a permanent part of military.
2015: All armed forces roles will open to women.
