Tulsa Educare was proud to welcome 20 bright and passionate interns from the George Kaiser Family Foundation Summer Impact Program!

This 9-week internship program connects university students with some of Tulsa’s most impactful nonprofit organizations, providing firsthand insight into the intersection of policy, philanthropy, business, and community engagement while helping participants build valuable skills and new perspectives.

During their visit, the interns learned how Tulsa Educare and the BEST (Birth through Eight Strategy for Tulsa) initiative are closing opportunity gaps for young children and families facing economic barriers. Through thoughtful conversations and engaging questions, they explored why high-quality early childhood education is one of the most powerful investments we can make in our community’s future.

Their curiosity, enthusiasm, and commitment to making a difference left us inspired. We are grateful to GKFF for investing in the next generation of community leaders, and we are confident the future of Oklahoma is in great hands!

🥕🍅 Fresh Food Market 🌽🍉
Nothing brightens our day quite like seeing the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma van pull up! It means fresh, nutritious food is on its way to families—and this summer's colorful fruits and vegetables have been especially exciting.

Each month, the Food Bank visits every Tulsa Educare school to provide fresh food for families in the community. We are incredibly grateful for this partnership and for the dedicated Food Bank staff and volunteers who make it all happen—from delivering and organizing to welcoming families and helping distribute food. Thank you for helping make healthy, fresh food more accessible for Tulsa families! 💙

🌱🌻From Tiny Seeds to Big Harvests!🌻🌱
Back in March, Tulsa Educare Hawthorne families shared their ideas and planted the first seeds for our Garden Club. Fast forward a few months, and those little sprouts have grown into something amazing!

Thanks to plenty of sunshine, lots of rain, hard work, and some dirty hands, our garden beds are bursting with sunflowers, green beans, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, basil, pumpkins, watermelon, and cantaloupe! 🌿🍉🎃

Our recent Garden Party gave families the chance to explore the gardens their children helped grow, chat about their own home gardens, swap gardening tips, and celebrate all the hands-on learning that's happening outdoors. We even sent a lucky family home with a bee and insect house to help pollinators thrive! 🐝

A huge thank you to every family and staff who helped bring our Garden Club to life. Together, we're growing so much more than flowers and vegetables—we're growing curious minds, confident learners, and a stronger community. 💚🌱
