Cheers to 37! 🥂✨

This birthday week was filled with so much love, laughter, and gratitude.

My amazing husband, Chuck, treated me to a 90-minute facial at Poppi’s, followed by a lovely private lunch at Prossimo Italian Ristorante on Cherry Street. It was our first time dining there, and the experience was 10/10—from the beautiful atmosphere and exceptional service to the delicious food. The 90’s hip-hop and R&B playing in the background was the perfect finishing touch. 🎶💕

After a little shopping, we wrapped up the day with dinner at Cheesecake Factory with the kiddos and shared a slice of birthday cake together. 🎂

As I reflect on another year, I feel incredibly blessed. Blessed to be loved, blessed to be a wife and mom, blessed to do work I enjoy, and most of all, blessed by God’s faithfulness through every season.

Thank you to everyone who called, texted, prayed, and celebrated with me. Here’s to Chapter 37—walking in purpose, joy, grace, and gratitude. ✨

5 years ago today, we welcomed our second son, Zion, into the world and life has never been the same. 🖤

Zion, you have always known exactly who you are. You’re a leader. You know what you like and what you don’t, and you have absolutely no problem letting us know. 😄 But underneath all that boldness is one of the most caring hearts we’ve ever seen.

At just five years old, you’ve already experienced real loss — our dog Eze and Grandma Brock are both in heaven now, and you loved them so deeply. You ask about them often, and the way your little mind wrestles with those big questions and holds onto the people you love… it just shows us how old your soul really is. You challenge mommy and daddy in the best way.

God made you one of a kind, and we are so grateful He chose us to be your parents.

We're turning the grocery store into our second home at this rate! 😩 These mini-me's are eating us out of house and home, seriously. How many days until school starts back again?? Send food!

We had the honor of attending the Black Wall Street Symposium today and it truly left us energized and inspired! We heard from local change makers like Mayor Monroe Nichols, Dr. Tiffany Crutcher and Dr. Ebony Johnson, in addition to powerhouses from all over the country, such as Rukaiyah Adams, President of the 1803 Fund and Damien Dwin, Founder of Lafayette Square — and several others!

The amount of wealth, knowledge, education and resources in that one room was mind blowing. 🤯 Shout out to Alaina Beverly for leading this charge through the Greenwood Trust.

This morning was “Mom’s Day” at Zion’s class. While I didn’t get called out for bad words like daddy did; why I gotta be 61?!? Just rude😩🤣. Also, Zion only loves me because I give extra snacks.
