In Loving Memory of Steven Russell Greenhaw
December 1, 1953 - July 8, 2026
Steven Russell Greenhaw, 72, passed away on July 8, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love. While Steven faced disabilities throughout his life, they never defined him or limited what he could accomplish. He lived with determination, independence, and a joyful spirit that inspired everyone who knew him.
Steven's greatest love was his family. He treasured every moment spent with those he loved and was especially devoted to his "Momma," Irene. He was always praying for her and, after retiring, moved back home so they could take care of one another. Their bond was one of deep love and devotion.
For 28 years, Steven proudly worked as a cart pusher at Walmart. He took tremendous pride in his job and in the plaque he received in recognition of his accomplishments. Every visitor to his home was sure to be shown that plaque, a symbol of how much his work meant to him and how proud he was of what he had achieved.
Steven proved that his disabilities would never hold him back. He lived independently for many years, first sharing a home with his dear friend Chad, and later living on his own, where he did an outstanding job caring for himself. His independence was something he worked hard for and took great pride in.
He found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. Steven loved race cars and especially enjoyed attending races with his friend Keven, who took him under his wing and shared that passion with him. In his past, he also looked forward to fishing trips with Roger, Pat, Tom, Garrett, and Jonathan, creating memories filled with laughter.
Steven faithfully attended First Baptist Church in Jenks as long as he could, alongside his special friend, Miss Sunshine. His faith was an important part of his life, and he was known for his caring heart and his willingness to pray for those he loved.
Anyone who knew Steven knew how much he loved to laugh. His laughter wasn't quiet-it came from his whole body and was impossible not to smile at. He also loved to dance and had moves that could light up any room. His joy was contagious, and he had a special way of making others feel welcome and loved.
Steven was preceded in death by his father, Steve; his stepfather, Roger, whom he deeply loved and respected; his grandparents on both sides of the family; and many beloved aunts, uncles, and extended family members.
He leaves behind his beloved Momma, Irene; his sisters, Mary and Robbie; his brother, Tom, who hung the moon in Steven's eyes, and his wife, Vicki; his niece, Miranda; his nephew, Garrett and wife, Chelsea and their children Wyatt & Audrey; nephew, Jonathan and soon to be wife, Cameron; his little dog Angel and many cherished family and friends whose lives were richer because of knowing him.
Steven's life reminds us that a person's worth is not measured by the challenges they face, but by the love they give, the lives they touch, and the joy they bring to others. He did all of those things abundantly.
Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the years we shared with him. His laughter, his dancing, his unwavering love for his family, and his kind spirit will remain with us always.
He was deeply loved, and he will be dearly missed.
