Trenchless Equipment visited a contractor in Marin County last week. They were working on a project that required them to install a pipe at a 55 to 65% angle to come in near the top of the concrete wall in the attached photo. To do this they were going to use a TT pneumatic piercing tool and a 180 CFM Air Compressor. The piercing tool would pierce a hole near the bottom of the wall and pull the pipe in. However, due to the thickness of the concrete wall this attempt would not work.

This turned out to be an old fashioned dig up behind the concrete wall. This project took over a week to finish. After leaving, the project, Trenchless Equipment assisted a truck driver back-up his oversized box truck 3/4 of mile back to the freeway. Eventually, 2 police officers arrived and worked with TE, the several local vehicles, and the box truck driver in order to keep traffic flowing.
