Happy June! Our first round of basil was harvested from our family ranch this weekend, and we are SO EXCITED to share this bounty with all of you in this week’s special!
If you are a pesto lover, our pesto pasta salad will hit the mark with fresh spinach and spring peas, sun-dried tomatoes, pickled red onions, toasted walnuts, shaved pecorino and peppery arugula, all tossed in our from-scratch lemon pesto dressing. It’s light, fresh, and just perfect to enjoy for lunch or dinner on a warm spring day. Customize your pesto pasta salad with balsamic marinated Roasted Red Peppers, sliced Roasted Chicken Breast, aged Prosciutto di Parma, or any combination of these ingredients.
If you’ll notice, we are serving this version with sun-dried tomatoes… Our tomatoes aren't quite ready out at the ranch, but by July or August we will have this pesto pasta salad once again featuring our CFF sun-kissed heirloom cherry tomatoes – Keep your eye out for it! Please Note: For those with food allergies, this week’s pesto dressing contains both pignoli nuts AND dairy. However, if you happen to be allergic to walnuts, we can most definitely leave them off, as we sprinkle these toasted crunchies at the very end of plating the pasta salad.
ALSO, this week only you have the option of swapping out our classing creamy balsamic dressing that we use on our salads & chicken sandwiches, for either our Pesto Basil Aioli OR Caesar Dressing (just +$1.5 more) - Simply ask and you shall receive!
AND just in case you happened to miss our “Seasonal Fun Drink” (made with Organic Berry Lemonade and finished off with your choice of topper: Coconut Water or San Pellegrino Sparkling Mineral Water or a little splash of both!), AND our “Limited Time S’mores Cookie,” you’ll DEFINITELY want to consider giving them both a try (from one foodie to another 😉).
