“GEORGE WASHINGTON “, JAMES A. COUGHLIN, AMERICAN, 1926-1979. James Coughlin was born in New York City in 1926. He studied at the Brooklyn Museum of Art and Art students league. He completed his education At the Tyler school of fine arts, Temple University.
Coughlin was a member of the Artist Equity Association of Northern California And president and Exhibition chairman of AEA, life member of the Students Art League and member of California Society of Printmakers.
His works are in private collections in New York, Philadelphia, Berkeley and San Francisco, California, Texas, Hawaii, Nebraska and Japan. Coughlin lived and worked in Berkeley until his death in 1979. The gallery Finesse offers a wide selection of James Coughlin’s works.
