So proud of our debaters for competing at the National Debate Tournament! ๐ค๐บ๐ธ
MacKenzie M and Kenzie H finished with a 6โ6 record, and Montgomery H and Evan D earned a 5โ7 record. Advancing required an 8โ4 record, so while the results werenโt what we hoped for, the experience was incredible.
Our students competed against teams from Ohio, California, Oregon, Nebraska, Illinois, Utah, Arizona, and Oklahoma, while Coach Leigh Petty judged teams from Colorado, Montana, Hawaii, and Alaska.
Out of 192 teams nationwide, only 50 advanced to elimination rounds. Weโre proud of how our students represented our school and grateful for the opportunity to compete on the national stage! ๐๐
