WELCOME BACK MACON COUNTY STUDENTS!! 📚The Macon County School Nutriton Program is excited to welcome you all back with healthy and nutrious meals!!! As we begin the 2022-2023 School Year, the School Nutrition Program would like to reiterate that ALL menu items are offered to every student in the Macon County School System Everyday. In addition, we would also like to reiterate that in accordance with both Federal and State guidelines, we operate on an ”Offer vs. Serve” system. This system states that all students are allowed to decline up to 2 items offered on the menu. 5 food items are always offered for Lunch and 4+ food items are always offered for Breakfast. For more information about the “Offer vs. Serve” system/policy AND to view School Menus, please visit www.maconk12.org. The School Menus for August 2022 have been attached for your convenience. Also, if there are any concerns or suggestions, please contact the Macon County Board of Education’s School Nutrition Program Director at (334) 727-1600. Again, our goal is to provide healthy meals that feed the body, a smile to feed the soul and encouraging words to feed the mind- one child at a time! Let’s have a healthy and nutritious School Year!!
