Hello everyone! As many of my musician friends know, yesterday Finale announced it will not be releasing anymore updates and is no longer installable or upgradable. Then, by August 2025, I will not be able to authorize Finale on any devices to which I have not authorized.

With this said, anyone who has a commission, arrangement, or an engraving/transcription project lined up with me, please give grace. I will be moving over to another composition software (most likely Dorico, but researching alternatives and weighing the pros and cons of all). I will most likely be learning a new software during many of your projects and ask to just give me a bit of grace when it comes to timing.

MakeMusic did not warn any Finale users that this would be happening, and they are not open sourcing the code for independent coders to edit, expand, or optimize the Finale code. I hope I will be able to learn a new software quickly, but will always do my best to give everyone to best product I can give.
