We are incredibly excited to announce that the Tyler Junior College Wind Ensemble has been invited to perform at the 2027 TMEA Clinic/Convention.

This marks the second time the ensemble has received this honor, and we are grateful for the opportunity to represent Tyler Junior College and our community.

“We are proud of the hard work, dedication, and artistry of our students and faculty, and we look forward to sharing music with colleagues and friends at the convention,” said Jeremy Strickland, Director of Bands.

Jack doesn’t understand why his world changed.

At over 8 years old, this sweet senior boy was surrendered to Tyler Animal Control when the only family he’s ever known could no longer care for him due to their own health struggles. Through no fault of his own, Jack lost everything familiar.

But somehow… he’s still all love.

Today, he hopped right into our van like he trusted us completely. He sat quietly for the ride, just taking it all in. And since then, he’s greeted every person he meets the same way...with gentle eyes, a wagging tail, and a hopeful heart, waiting for someone to tell him he’s a “good boy.”

And Jack is a good boy.

He doesn’t belong in a kennel, watching days pass by. He doesn’t deserve to spend his golden years alone. He deserves soft beds, kind hands, and someone who will love him for the rest of his life.

Jack may be a little gray, a little older… but his spirit is still so full, so bright, so ready to love again.
