Join us for an evening of celebration as Shumate Engineering marks its 6th anniversary at our 2026 Open House! Last year marked a defining moment for the firm — one filled with standout achievements that reflect the strength and momentum of our team. Some of our key highlights include:

- Awarded patent for our design to cool data centers with 50% less energy and 93% less water
- Expanded our team with the addition of talented new engineers
- Ranked among the Inc. 5000 fastest-growing companies in the U.S.

We’ve already carried that momentum into 2026, hitting the ground running with more than 16 new projects underway.

Hosted at our headquarters in Vienna, this event brings together industry partners, clients, and colleagues for a convivial atmosphere featuring drinks, small plates, live music, and meaningful networking. Catch up with your favorite engineers, meet new faces, and celebrate the relationships that have shaped our success.

What if adiabatic cooling and a single-loop system design could significantly reduce the energy required for the next generation of high-heat-density computing?

In this video, Havtech, Shumate Engineering, and Baltimore Air Cooling introduce a new concept that changes the economics of data center cooling. By replacing air-cooled chillers and cooling towers with a single chilled water loop built around a BAC Trillium Series hybrid adiabatic cooler, facilities can drastically reduce cooling plant infrastructure consumption and redirect significantly more power to the IT load.

Watch as we put this cooling system design to the test in BAC’s extreme-weather R&D lab, demonstrating its ability to seamlessly support both 90°F direct-to-chip systems and 68°F air-cooled environments, even during peak ambient conditions.

Key benefits of this system design:

▪ Massive Efficiency Gains: Achieves a connected PUE of 1.2 or better
▪ Maximized Computing Power: Frees up to 12% more usable IT power
▪ Extreme Water Savings: Operates in dry cooling mode up to 90% of the year, reducing direct water usage by up to 90%

For more information or to get started, contact Havtech.

A follow-up technical breakdown video is coming soon, with a closer look at how the system works.
