Fairfax NOVA remains strong in the 2026 rankings with 10 headquartered companies listed among the largest publicly traded corporations in the United States.

The most notable addition is Amentum, which debuted at (313) with $14.4B in revenue following its public launch in late 2024. The company joins a strong roster of Fairfax NOVA-based industry leaders on the list, including Freddie Mac (55), Capital One (63), General Dynamics (91), Northrop Grumman Corporation (112), Leidos (260), Hilton Hotels & Resorts (367), Booz Allen Hamilton (372), and CACI (459).

Fairfax's Fortune 500 companies combined revenue of $370B is 46% of Virginia's total Fortune 500 companies combined revenue of $808M. The combined revenue increased by $31B from the previous year, which was $339B.

Six more Fairfax-based companies round out the Fortune 1,000 — SAIC (513), Parsons Corporation (568), Maximus (628), V2X (731), Navient (890), and TEGNA (998).

Overall, the rankings validate Fairfax NOVA’s position as a hub for Fortune 500 headquarters and industry-leading companies across defense, technology, finance, and hospitality, signaling a powerful ecosystem for the county’s economic base.
