We spent some time yesterday with Cari Conley’s leadership class at USC Union, and I truly enjoyed it.

We talked about leadership and what economic development looks like here in Union County—recruiting industry, supporting our existing businesses, growing retail, promoting tourism, and building a community people are proud to call home. At the end of the day, leadership isn’t about a title… it’s about how you show up and the impact you make on others.

Grateful for the opportunity to connect with this group. The future is bright—and the work doesn’t stop, because economic development has no finish line.

Yesterday our team visited the Union County Career & Technology Center for a CTE Roundtable Lunch & Learn Session. We had the opportunity to sit down with students and share all things economic development — from industrial growth and retail opportunities to tourism and the positive impact these have on a growing community.

We also talked about the importance of leadership values in shaping tomorrow’s workforce. Alongside us, the Union County Chamber of Commerce highlighted how they enhance, advocate, and promote member businesses right here at home.

Union County is growing, and our students are at the heart of that future. 🌟
