Whose house are you building?

Every house has an address that tells you who owns it. The church has an address too—it's the household of God. Not ours. God's. And when we truly understand that, everything changes.

In our sermon on 1 Timothy 3:14-4:6, Paul reminded us that God's household must be rooted in truth to resist falsehood. We're called to be pillars and buttresses of truth—not wishy-washy, go-with-the-flow people, but a community shaped by the Gospel, led by godly leaders, and standing firm against false teaching. Our behavior matters because it's HIS house, HIS rules, HIS mission.

Two houses stand before us: the household of God built on the mystery of godliness—Christ manifested in flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, proclaimed among nations—or the dwelling place of deceiving spirits and demonic teachings. Which house are you building? How are you behaving in God's household?

The church isn't the building or the budget. It's the people of God gathered in His name, defending truth and advancing the Gospel.
