Today marks the beginning of the Year of the Fire Horse and I was born in a Horse year myself. ❤️‍🔥🐎

Red for luck. Strength for the journey. Fire for the becoming.

I’m stepping into this new year with open arms and brand-new intention.

The last 12 months have been the most testing and humbling year of my life, both personally and professionally. Many of you walked beside me through it, loved on me, prayed for me, and kept showing up- even when my energy wasn’t what you nor I wanted it to be.

And recently, saying goodbye to my sweet girl Waffles, my little shadow that so many of you loved, shifted my heart and my perspective more than I can say.

This year, what I bring into the treatment room changes:

more calm

more joy

more warmth

more encouragement

more presence

more care

I want every client to leave my chair feeling better than when they walked in: more confident, more supported, more seen, and deeply cared for. And with their skin more hydrated and supple of course.

Thank you for your staying with me this past year when my energy wasn’t where I wanted it to be and I wasn’t quite myself. Your loyalty and kindness are not lost on me. This year, I’m back and I plan on giving back tenfold.

Also, in observance of my newly adopted Chinese heritage for the day:

no cleaning

no scissors or cutting anything

my hair was washed yesterday

only dumplings, sticky rice, fish, and long noodles 🥟

I’m still confused whether I’m supposed to wear red or earth tones today, so I’m wearing all of them

Your esthetician is so much more than what you see in the treatment room…

Most people meet me as the esthetician- ‘gloves on’, creating transformation one face and one brow at a time. But the parts of me that make me good at this work…were shaped far beyond those four walls.

My faith.

My love of horses.

A lifelong passion for art and antiques.

And my precious girl, Waffles.

These are the threads that weave into everything I do, on and off the table.

Raised in a multigenerational art and antique gallery family and holding a BFA in art history, I learned early to honor craftsmanship, to study detail, and to hold my standards higher than most. That training shaped my eye for both beauty and balance, as well as the way I approach every client- with care and intention.

My faith in Jesus and the truth of Scripture remind me where my strength comes from, where my peace returns, and Who deserves every ounce of credit for anything I have and anything I’ve achieved. He is my foundation, my anchor, my hope.

My sweet Cockapoo girl Waffles- rescued at three and now 13½, always by my side teaches me to soften, stay tender, breathe… and that a spoonful of peanut butter can fix almost anything.

Horses teach me patience, trust, posture, accountability, discipline, intuition, and how to keep holding steady through the unsteady and unpredictable.

I’ve never been one to follow trends or blend into industry noise.

My work is personal.

My craft is lived.

My story is stitched into every facial, every brow, every client I touch.

And if you’ve ever wondered why people say my services feel different…

it’s because the woman behind them is, too.

Beauty is my life, but my life isn’t always beautiful.

I was raised in a world where beauty was curated, details mattered, and refinement was second nature.

I lost that world.

But here’s what rebuilding it really looks like, at least for me:

A negative bank balance. A mattress on the floor. A couch I dragged from a dumpster five years ago that I still sit on.

Every single dollar I make goes back into my business. Into inventory. Into education. Into creating something I believe in with every ounce of my being.

I don’t have investors. I don’t have a spouse or a safety net.

What I do have is conviction, faith in God, hands that heal, and a client list full of people who trust me.

And still some days I feel like a fraud.

How can I sell luxury skincare while living like this?

Then I remember: I am the luxury.

My knowledge, my care, my commitment, my attention to detail, my focus on you, my honesty.
