Vader came to Pinal about 5 weeks ago after being shot in the head…🥲

yea, you read that correctly…

Sadly, because he was wandering as a stray we have no idea how Vader came to be in this condition. The bullet passed through his eye and fractured his jaw. Vader has required multiple surgeries to save his life first to take out is badly damaged eye and second to repair his fractured jaw. Throughout all of this Vader has been an absolute trooper. Never offering anything but a tail wag and soft kisses.
Vader is now in need of a foster or adoptive home to give him a safe place to recover while awaiting his final surgery. Vader loves people and is a very sweet mellow couch potato. He loves sleeping under our desks and sunbathing in the yard. He is polite on leash and loves to take slow sniffy walks. Vader has been fearful of new dogs while in shelter. Adjusting to life without an eye and a healing jaw can be scary. So while Vader has not been aggressive we recommend he go to a home with no other dogs or calm mellow dogs that can give Vader space to heal and learn how to be a dog.
