What you focus on and think about offen will determine your direction.

Alot of people don’t understand how close they are to achieving their goals but because of poor habits and a negative way of thinking, their goals become a long shot.

As a SWAT/SRT Sniper I understand how important it is to focus and concentrate when taking a long range shot. During the moment before I pull the trigger and the shot breaks, I can’t think of anything other than slowly and steadily pulling the trigger while controlling my breath. In that moment, for those few seconds nothing else matters.

When I start to fixate on the target or worry about the wind right before I take my shot, my focus shifts from what is really important.

The same goes in life, when you are focused on a goal. A mission. Focus on what’s important. Don’t allow people or habits that don’t propel you forward to ruin your shot.

Alcohol, P**n, drugs, greed, laziness, NO FAITH, NO DISCIPLINE. These will all make your goals and dreams become an impossible shot.

Eliminate the obstacles. Create an unobstructed view, and you will always be on target, or atleast close enough to make the right adjustments!

Sometimes you only get one shot to make a difference. Make it count!

Stay Focused. It’s too easy to let distractions take you off course. Put the phone down. Get rid of negative people, places, things, and habits.

Find a way to slow down and embrace the silence. God is calling you to great things, but how can you answer the call when you can’t hear because the distractions are too loud?

Focus and situational awareness will keep you alive in battle. Life is no different. Substitute situational awareness for self awareness. Where you time and attention go is what you treasure.
What do you treasure? What do you live for? What do you fight for?

You weren’t created to survive, you were created to thrive. However, thriving takes dedication and hard work. It’s a daily and conscious choice. There will be moments when we are tired, depressed, hurting, lonely, and feeling every other emotion you can think of.

But…We serve a God who is greater than your feelings. We serve a God who has overcome the world and defeated ever negative thought, feeling, and emotion trying to come against you!

Put on the whole armor of God, and Get ready for battle!! Victory is already ours, but we still have to fight the battle! Faith over fear!!
