After many phone calls, I decided I needed to address the article in Sunday's Uvalde Leader News...
I am extremely honored by the recommendation set forth by Judge Neto Luna to serve in his position as JP Pct.6
After much consideration, I respectfully declined last week.
I am not through serving the public as a peace officer yet. I still have love for the job, for the people and my current position.

Today is the FINAL DAY to vote early. I encourage you to exercise your right to vote TODAY from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. at the Ssgt. Willie de Leon Civic Center at 300 East Main St. in Uvalde.
It would be an honor to serve as your new Uvalde County Sheriff and I respectfully ask for your vote and support.
