I can’t even begin to put into words how devastating it is to hear about the shooting that occured in Uvalde, Texas yesterday morning.

After the same situation happens time and time again, it’s difficult to find what more can be said without it seeming repetitive. It shouldn’t be repetitive. This isn’t something that children should fear for when going to school. It shouldn’t be something that comes up in the news every other month.

It brings me so much sadness to think about the grieving families and friends of those affected due to this tragedy. I can only hope that they are allowed the time to grieve and find peace in their pain.

When events like this occur, it can also be troubling to feel like you’re just watching from the sidelines with nothing in your control. Do what you can, when you can - educate yourself where need be, donate to the families, take a break from social media when it all feels like too much.
