Yesterday, our teams competed at the Area competition, and we are so proud to share that our Horse Judging team placed 8th out of 27 teams! 🎉 A special congratulations to our senior, Ariana Castro, for earning 15th High Individual!
Our Meat, Vet, and Livestock Judging teams have shown consistent growth and improvement at every contest this season, and they represented us well at Area.
We also want to recognize our Cotton Judging team, who placed 6th at their regional contest just one spot away from state! This group was completely student-led, and they pushed each other to hold a high standard while consistently placing well. We are so proud of y’all!
As we wrap up our CDE season, we want to extend a huge thank you to all of the parents and supporters who make these opportunities possible. It truly takes a village.
And to our members you are the reason Uvalde FFA continues to grow and succeed. Your dedication has made our chapter more active and something others admire. Be proud of everything you’ve accomplished this season! 💙💛

We would like to give a big shoutout to our Wildlife Team! 🦌🌿
Yesterday, they competed at their Regional Contest in San Angelo, which marked our final contest of the year. This was also the first year we added Wildlife to our program, and we couldn’t be more proud of how this team stepped up to the challenge.
Wildlife is one of the more difficult contests, requiring students to know game species, safety laws, management techniques, and identify various animals, pelts, skulls, and more. On top of that, they must also learn extensive plant identification, including brush and range plants across the state.
Our team placed 11th out of 20 teams, and that is something to be proud of—especially considering this is their first time competing in this event. These students took initiative, studied on their own, and truly demonstrated what an FFA program is all about: being student-led and driven.
We are so proud of the effort, dedication, and growth this team has shown. They set a strong foundation for the future of this contest in our program!
