Hey Shipmates,

I've finished the mounting bracket for the Ship's Wheel. It is now up and mounted in my garage until our next gathering where it will be passed on to another crew member.

Carl Bright will be painting the Ship's Logo on the centerpiece to make it look even better.

I mounted it on an Oak dowel that I had on hand that was just a bit too thick for the wheel. After some sanding to make it fit, I drilled a hole the right diameter and created a mortise and tenon joint that should hold the wheel solidly for the rest of time.

It even still spins!
