Friends! Donate your tree and you can meet the goats! 😀 if you can’t make it on 1/17, they will accept donations through February.

We've found the perfect spot to drop off your Christmas tree!

Allegheny GoatScape is hosting two tree donation events this month -- the first being Sat, Jan. 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Healcrest Farm. 5222 Shamrock Way, Pittsburgh.

Meet the goats and explore volunteering opportunities while the goats enjoy their Yuletide buffet.

Friends, it’s the most bittersweet time of the year… taking down the Christmas tree and decorations. If you want to recycle your tree, make sure it’s free of all decorations, lights and tinsel, and not in a plastic tree removal bag. Your municipality may have a curbside pickup program or collection site for residents. If not, here are a few options:

Butler County: Seneca Landfill Compost Site: 421 Hartmann Road in Evans City. Trees will be accepted during their normal operating hours through January 31st for a $5 fee. Adams Township: Drop trees off at the Community Park in the Splash Pad parking lot through January 11th. While you’re there, go for a walk on the trails, you might just see me and one of the dogs!

Allegheny County parks are offering recycling and the mulch will used in the parks throughout the year! Hartwood Acres at the Middle Road parking lot. North Park at the swimming pool parking lot. Harrison Hills at the parking lot at Chipmunk and Cottontail. Deer Lakes at the Veterans shelter parking lot. Boyce Park at the soccer fields parking lot.

I put my tree outside under my bird feeders to give them some cover while visiting.
