Water Day is always a favorite at Excel Learning Academy! 💦☀️

Activities like these provide opportunities for students to build social skills, practice following directions, stay active, and most importantly, have fun with their peers. At Excel Learning Academy, we believe learning happens everywhere, including through play, social interaction, and hands-on experiences that keep students engaged and motivated. We love finding creative ways to make learning meaningful and engaging throughout both the school year and summer.

Water Day is also a weekly part of our summer camp program, giving students regular opportunities to enjoy outdoor fun while practicing important social skills.

We still have a few openings available for our summer program. Reach out for more information!

Behavior support is not limited to one diagnosis.

At Excel Learning Academy, we serve students with complex learning and behavioral needs across autism, ADHD, ODD, PTSD, emotional/behavioral disorders, and more.
Our program is grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) — the science of learning and behavior.

ABA is not tied to a specific label. It is a framework for understanding how behavior develops, how skills are acquired, and how meaningful change occurs.
Because learning principles apply to all individuals, ABA can be used to teach communication, regulation, independence, academic engagement, and social skills across a wide range of support needs and skill levels.

Our focus is not on diagnosis.

Our focus is on building skills, increasing independence, and creating structured environments where students can succeed.

If your child requires more individualized academic and behavioral support than traditional settings can provide, we welcome the conversation. Send us a message and see how we can help.

Excel Learning Academy’s summer camp program is designed for students who need more from their support systems.

For families navigating frequent behavior reports, suspensions, or difficulty maintaining placement in traditional settings, this program will offer a more appropriate level of support.

We are built for students who benefit from:
• Higher staffing ratios
• Consistent behavior support systems
• Clear, predictable boundaries
• Calm, professionally trained adults
• Structured reinforcement and positive interactions
• Crisis management experts

Behavioral challenges are addressed directly and safely, not avoided. Our focus is on empowering students to problem solve, advocate for themselves, and respect others. We employ compassionate teaching strategies and use the natural environment to find opportunities for growth and problem-solving. Challenging behavior is viewed as an opportunity for learning, not something to be ashamed of or criticized for. If your child’s behavioral needs have made finding a summer program feel uncertain in the past, we encourage you to reach out.

We specialize in working with children and adolescents who demonstrate significant behavioral challenges, including those with diagnoses such as:
• Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)
• ADHD
• Autism Spectrum Disorder
• PTSD
• other Emotional/Behavioral Disorders

Our environment is intentionally structured and grounded in behavioral science, led by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).

Kids have the right to communicate—regardless of how they do it.

At Excel Learning Academy, we intentionally embed communication tools throughout our classrooms to promote independence, dignity, and true communication autonomy. When supports are always within reach, students don’t have to struggle to be understood—they always have a voice.

Because communication isn’t a privilege—it’s a right. And every student deserves the power to use it.
