The hope/goal of these posts is to help people think outside the bun when chasing issues, this response from Jesse is a fun one.
Motor mounts loosey goosey and worn out causing the engine to rock and slip a coupler!
"I had a good one, kept checking for leaks, couldnt find anything. But when you'd go drive the car, it'd start to pull and then misfire and freak out. Tried everything we could think of, finally someone said "hey brake boost it right here" so we did and found that the engine was rocking back and pulling the J pipe right out of the coupler, and when you let off it'd shove it right back in. It was crazy because the clamp seemed tight but was too close to the lip on the pipe to bite."

We share products and builds, but we also need to share troubleshooting tips from our extended FP family. We posted yesterday asking for people to share their "A-Ha!" moments with boost control issues, and you all did not disappoint!
First up, Dario expands on a restriction in the boost path, causing unnecessary stress on the turbocharger and related components!
"Just had a car on the dyno, no matter what we did the car would only make 8lbs. Put a boost gauge on the car pre intercooler and it was making 18lbs. Needless to say it was a restrictive intercooler."
