Ole girl said to her new boyfriend, I love your bike, it's so much quieter than my exes 😫💔😩 I gotta admit, I traded low end performance and a smooth running engine for sound. Tried running V&H baffles after adding a Woods 777cam, but it was just too quiet. Bike ran better and had way better low end but the engine noise was louder than the exhaust. Absolutely no heads turned as I rolled thru, let alone setting off any car alarms on narrow Baltimore streets. I tossed the baffles, so the bike runs rough and rowdy. No more spinning the back wheel on quick launches, but a quick brap on the throttle makes drivers a block away look in my direction. That's not trying to add inches to my peen either, it's a legitimate safety feature as far as I'm concerned. MD has some of the worst drivers in the country , so when I leave the city I mean for them to hear me coming. Despite what people say, Baltimore City has some great drivers, but it also has some absolute lunatics. You aint gotta wait long at any intersection to see a clapped out Altima with blacked out windows running Virginia plates shoot thru a red light in a cloud of dispensary smoke. And if you see a Kia with highbeams and windshield wipers wiping on a sunny day, stay tf outta their way 🤣 With all that going on, you gotta shave the odds where you can. A quick twist on the throttle might at least wake up the old Chinese lady after a long night at the carry out before she crosses two lanes to make a left into my right. I've put nearly 50k miles on this engine and it runs a little hot, but the top end is there when I need it, so I dont mind trading some low end, gas mileage, and extra oil changes to rattle some windows and shock a tiktokker into remembering they're driving.
