Understanding that all of our errands can be done in a single trip is great! The next step is to make this trip more efficient. We do this by planning our route. Plug those addresses or location names into google maps at https://maps.google.com/.

After all of the addresses are in there, rearrange them to make the trip more efficient. Either furthest location first or make a loop!

Step 1. Drive Less by Lumping Errands Into One Trip

Easier said than done, I know. Sometimes we leave our home in an effort to clear our To-Do list. We go out, finish our tasks, get home then remember, “I forgot to do one thing while I was out”.

This simple way of managing our time and energy will also save us money in the end.

Make sure to write out an actual list of errands to run for the day. If possible, do not use paper, instead use your smartphone or tablet to list off your tasks. As each line item is completed just put an “X” next to it and continue on your route! Before you know it, the list will be complete and you can go on with your fun filled day with less stress and more cash in your pocket.
