So Chemo update round #3.
I can honestly say the cold sensory stuff is the weirdest and so far the only real side effect. It went great today, met with my oncooogst Dr. Pelaya is amazing and said all my “markers” from my boood works was good and right where they need to be. Better than the week before, so that was encouraging.
I worked on my computer for two hours before I took a nap for an hour. It’s a long process….but it is a process…that I have to do in order to kick this cancers b***y. (I can’t use “Ass” because my mom and dad will call me out on using that language. lol.

Anyway, I will beat this and my driving motivation is attached in the photos.
This evening I played uker with my mom and dad and all three brothers. What a blessing.
My sons Ethan and Keenan along with my wonderful wife who is backing me 100%. Without her, this would be the hardest thing to do.
Followed up with great friends and family ties in with an incredible church support group. . Gail Abbas MacLaren Lori Racky Jim Racky
Lauren Weinkein Kevin MacLaren Lori Odendahl-Klemish Christopher Schmidt Ethel Pawley. Alexis Karrels Mae Rombough Susan Keenan Laura Keenan Sundquist
and many others. I cannot name you all.

Then finally for a great group of co-workers. USSI LLC has been there the second this diagnosis of re**al cancer came about.
The office guys and crews are so supporting and keep an eye on me. Thanks.

Also, Dion who is my boss and a very close friend has had my back from the first second.
Jackie Vlasak your husband is amazing. When you are done with him, he’s mine. lol. You know I love the man.

Without all of the support this could be a struggle.
“God is driving, I’m just along for the ride”

God willing I will turn this into a ministry of full healing and hope to those that get this cancer. I got this. BAM BAM.

I have to get heathy so I can be 100% healthy and back to giving full presentations and get back tons full work groove.

I love life.

USSI WEEK IN REVIEW - I&I solutions.
This week we will be focusing on Manhole Inspections. Here at USSI we have our proprietary web based program that our crews use out in the field. As our clients needs change, we can adjust our inspection program to the needs of our client over night. We did a survey 7 years ago of over 100 of our clients in Florida and after asking them "What are the top five things you wanted from a Manhole Inspection?"
#1- Does the manhole need to be rehabbed
#2- GIS, Lat and Long
#3-Is there Grease Build up
#4-Ring and Cover condition
#5-Is there infiltration
So, based upon their feedback, we built our manhole inspection report around our clients needs. We were debating whether to get into 3D imaging of manholes and doing MACP standards, but we realized that data (in our opinion) was not needed. We have had great success with doing manhole inspections which we have now completed over 140,000 in Florida. Our crews inspect on average about 50-75 manholes per day. Our software allows us to build lift station report digitally in the back office so when the crew is done with a lift station of inspections, the reports are generated in PDF, CSV, KML, XLC and shpefile formats that are then uploaded to our clients account within 24 hours, where they can view and download the completed files. This is critical because essentially many of our public utility clients just wanted to data as quick as possible so they can make high priority repairs. We provide a complete CSV with every manhole with a color code which indicates 'Red' manholes that need to be rehabbed, 'Yellow' which indicates something to look into in the next 3-5 years and 'Green' which means leave the manhole has nothing wrong and no need for any service.

Why are manhole inspections important?
Inspecting manholes has a multitude of benefits.
1- Condition report will show if rehab is necessary
2- If there is infiltration coming in anywhere in the manhole, this is documented so injection grout can be schedule to stop the leak
3-Surge- We find lines that are surged which indicates blockage in the system. We have prevented numerous SSO's due to manhole inspections. Our crews notify the utility immediately if they find a surge manhole so they can send out a pumper truck to take care of it.
4-We document condition of ring and cover, which if in poor condition, can lead to inflow draining into the sewer system.
5-GIS- GPS coordinates are critical for utilities. We actually have used our manhole inspections to help smaller utilities with limited funds to build a GIS system for them to use in house.
6-By doing manhole inspections our crews quite often find manholes that were not on the original maps. We locate new manholes and inspect them so the utility gets a complete lift station report.
7-By identifying infiltration, manholes in need of rehab we are helping to prevent SSO's (sewer system overflows).
8- Manhole Inspections are part of the FDEP requirements for SSES programs.
Here is an image of Manhole Inspection done this week. The H2S gas has deteriorated the walls of this manhole. This would be a manhole in need of a full rehabilitation.

Next Week we will spotlight what causes manholes to deteriorate and what can be done to prevent and fix the problems. Otherwise, everyone have a blessed weekend!

Another massive sewer system defect. Defective lateral in a swale. Massive inflow from rain events. This utility had been having SSO’s every rain event. After we found the defect, we fixed it, now they don’t have SSO’s. Contact [email protected].
