Montgomery County has approved a major long-term development plan for Clarksburg that will bring additional housing, employment opportunities, transportation improvements, parks, and mixed-use development. Planned transportation enhancements include new roadway connections, improved access to I-270 and MD-355, upgraded intersections, expanded pedestrian and bicycle networks, and future transit accommodations to support the area's continued growth. The goal is to create a more connected and sustainable community where residents can live, work, shop, and enjoy recreational amenities closer to home, while supporting long-term economic growth and property values.
