Coming to Acworth, Real competition changes young people.

It teaches them how to work hard.
How to listen.
How to take direction.
How to be part of a team.
How to handle pressure.
How to rise when the moment comes.

We understand this in sports.

Now Words In Motion Acting Studio is bringing that same spirit of challenge, teamwork, and recognition to young actors through The Big Skit Competition.

This is not just an acting camp.

It is a real competition where young actors work in teams, create original skits, rehearse under pressure, perform for judges, and prove what they can do.

Actors work hard too.

They memorize.
They collaborate.
They make choices.
They take risks.
They stand in front of people and give their work everything they have.

And they deserve the chance to be recognized for that work.

The Big Skit Competition is coming to Acworth.

June 8–12
1:00–4:00 PM
Acworth Cultural Arts / Rena Henton Theatre
Ages 7–17

No experience is required. Actors just need to be willing to learn, work with others, and bring their imagination.

Amanda Gikas, agent from Past the Gate Talent Agency, has confirmed as one of our judges, and we are continuing to build a strong judge lineup for the competition.

Sibling discounts are available.

Spots are still available, but they are limited. Do not miss the chance to be part of something different for young actors.

The story behind Words In Motion Acting Studio is one built on passion, hard work, and a true love for helping actors grow. Founded by Emmy Award-winning artist Kelly Young-Silva alongside multi-Emmy Award-winning director and producer Diego Silva-Acevedo, the studio was created to give actors honest, professional training rooted in real industry experience.

Over the years, Words In Motion has helped actors grow from nervous beginners into confident performers, with many students landing agents, booking film and television projects, and training for opportunities in the Atlanta film market and beyond.

What makes the studio stand out is its focus on the whole actor — not just performance, but discipline, professionalism, confidence, and community. Their goal is not hype or shortcuts, but helping actors build a strong foundation that lasts.
