Marriage has been a series of adventures with my best friend. We recently decided we wanted to start a business together! It’s scary and exciting and I am overjoyed that I get to create with my husband!
Speaking of create…check out our art wall makeover!! I absolutely love how paint can transform even a small space like this! I used urbane bronze and loved how it gave this space some depth!!

8 years ago I met this beautiful man I am blessed to call my husband. We met in a bar, 4 1/2 hours away from where I lived. He was working and I was there for a hair show. I was not looking for anyone, but thankfully higher powers were looking out for me. I liked him very quickly, anyone who’s ever met him can understand. He was easy to talk to and easy on the eyes lol, but it was his consistency that won me over. From this day, 8 years ago, we’ve communicated every single day…through the passing of family and friends, through a bitter divorce and all the life in between…he was there.
He continues to be there, through the stress, mental illness and life’s drama…he’s there, and he has turned out to be the gift I never thought I would have. I’ve loved before without reciprocation, I’ve chased others out of fear of refection and abandonment and it still led me to being alone…
It was all worth it though because it allows me to appreciate this love even more. It’s shown me that no matter your age or place in life, you are deserving of a great love.
We celebrate the day we met because it was the beginning of a life altering journey that led us both to a peace and a fulfillment that we both searched for!
Happy “first day of meeting” Anniversary babe!! Now let’s get ready for our day date!!!!

Give me that real love, that don’t care what anyone else thinks kind of love! I lived for YEARS doing what others wanted, what was expected of me, and it only led me to not trusting myself. When you don’t trust your decisions, when you let others opinions define who you are, you will allow others to treat you how they see fit and not how you deserve. I had to do the work to undo years of voices that directed my every move. But once I started walking the path of loving and trusting myself again, that’s when I started to believe how deserving I was. That’s when I started to eliminate what was no longer for me, and make room for what was for me. I started giving attention to what was most important and set goals for myself, for my future self. Sometimes you see the “after” of my life and I just want to remind you that this took years to find, and it took years for me to be ready for it. So please be patient, work on what you can control…YOU💕 Learn how to listen to that voice inside and most of all learn to trust yourself!! 💕
