Our Story
The Moonlight Amphitheatre is an 1800-person capacity theatre owned and operated by the City of Vista. The Amphitheatre sits nestled on a hillside in Brengle Terrace Park and is home to Broadway musicals in the summer, and concerts and other events all other months of the year. From January through March, Amphitheatre is home to ClubM, its intimate indoor cabaret theatre featuring concerts.
The Amphitheatre was originally gifted to the City of Vista as a bicentennial project by the Vista Foundation (now the Moonlight Cultural Foundation) in 1976. In 1981, as a joint program between the City of Vista and the Vista Unified School District, the “Vista Summer Theatre Festival” was founded with two musicals. Since then, Moonlight Stage Productions has produced Broadway-style musicals in the amphitheatre.
