For today's urban wood example, we have an old, p***y mesquite log. Most would view such an older log as trash or waste but think again! Magic can be found in a variety of these logs even years after they are fallen.
Maybe time for us all to re-consider the value in our fallen trees. For a $100 investment, we produced a very beautiful live oak mantle w two additional 1" live edges slabs. The tree now gets a 2nd life & has such a amazing story for for the property & homeowners. A win-win for everyone including our environment! Think twice about that fallen tree or log in your yard!
