I am so grateful to have my painting “Liminal Flight” included in opening show Cultivated Identity - Up and open the rest of the summer until Sept. 25th!

This painting starting as a design for a Utility box for Creative Waco. The painting is a half scale version of that design. 80x22 oil on panels. The frame was custom made to hide the joints in the different panels required for the utility box design (see my reel 2 posts back)

I decided to do another bear. I thought it would be “quick” after the first bear I did went rather smoothly and relatively fast. This one challenged me and went through stages where I really didn’t like it. I kept pushing the paint until I was happy with it. Still not perfect but good enough to call it done and consider it a learning experience.

Each photo shows the different looks it can have with the quality and angle of light. I really like how the feeling of it changes throughout the day.

My piece for the Palette of the Wild show at in collaboration with the . My painting was started by a meerkat and finished by me. Swipe to see the meerkats contribution). It was more challenging than expected but a lot of fun!
