tl;dr
You can no longer used a device locked to T-Mobile/Metro on carriers like Mint, Tello, Walmart Family Mobile, Google Fi, StraightTalk, or anyone else. It also means you can’t use a Metro phone on T-Mobile and vice versa.
Until the device meets the unlock requirements of whatever carrier it’s locked to.
T-Mobile updates activation policy, creating difficulties for some users T-Mobile-locked phones seemingly no longer work with MVNOs.
