Sharpstein Elementary School

Whitman’s Sociology of Education class assigned two groups of students to help Sharpstein staff members find new solutions and strategies. One group supported Mrs Humbert in a project called MULTILINGUAL LANGUAGE PRACTICE AND ENGAGEMENT FOR ELEMENTARY STUDENTS and the other supported Ms Curles with GAME DESIGN AND EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING FOR K-5 STUDENTS. We are so grateful for their work and research and are excited for how it can support our students!

Thank you Professor Michelle Janning for making this partnership possible. The game boards designed by the students will be available for families who would like to continue growth and learning at home.

Our day starts at the Pioneer Park Rose Garden at 7:30 where we will hear from 2 first responders what they do, how they got to do it, and why they love it. Then, at school, we can see what everyone enjoys!
