Proyecto Cimarron CT/Project Cimarron CT
Bomba comunitaria para luchar y sanar! Community Puerto Rican Bomba for resistance and healing.
Proyecto Cimarrón did it again!
Our very own Carlos Cruz brought the energy and took it all the way, winning with that powerful “Esa Esa Domine” performance another crowd favorite at Fair Haven Day!
We’re beyond proud to have such incredible talent leading the way. Every year we come stronger, louder, and more connected to our roots and the community feels it!
Thank you to everyone who continues to support Proyecto Cimarrón. The culture, the music, the batey… it’s alive and thriving because of all of us.
What a beautiful day at Fair Haven Day in New Haven!
Proyecto Cimarrón brought the energy with “Bomba,” sharing the heart and soul of our culture with the community. There’s nothing like seeing people gather, feel the rhythm, and connect through music and tradition.
A special moment was watching our lead singer, Addy Castillo, bring the house down with “Ron de la Paloma” a classic that always calls people to the batey and gets everyone moving.
Thank you to everyone who came out, showed love, and celebrated with us. This is why we do what we do keeping our culture alive, loud, and full of joy! 🇵🇷

Today we had the pleasure of visiting the Dr. Reginald Mayo Early Learning Center in New Haven, Connecticut.
This amazing school, part of New Haven Public Schools, serves 3- and 4-year-olds through Head Start and School Readiness programs, creating such a beautiful and inclusive space for learning.
We shared the joy of Puerto Rican Bomba through call and response, dance and songs. Seeing the kids engage, respond, and light up was everything!
We also got to experience and enjoy delicious foods from different countries, celebrating culture and community together.
I had seconds on the Curry Chicken 🫶 it was 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you so much for having us it was truly a special day!
