What a great day with the Team attending the Connecticut Probate Assembly's Annual Meeting at the Connecticut Supreme Court. Special thanks to Rep. Craig Fishbein, ranking member of the Judiciary Committee, for our recognition (and photo op) on the House Floor. And a special bonus seeing Sean Doherty from Wallingford Family YMCA, who was there on official business, too!

Congratulations to Jim Fitzsimmons on his well‑deserved recognition as Citizen of the Year. It was also a pleasure to see the Honorable Philip A. Wright, Jr. Thank you to Lodge # 1365 and Exalted Ruler Vincent J. Longobardi.

I was pleased to see two recent decisions from the Wallingford Probate Court published by the Quinnipiac Probate Law Journal—one addressing issues in a decedent’s estate, the other involving a conservatorship. I’m grateful to the Journal and its editors for the care they bring to examining probate law in practice. Thoughtful discussion of these issues benefits not only practitioners, but the courts and families who rely on this system every day.

International Women’s Day is a perfect moment to recognize the incredible women who make our Probate Court work every day.
Their professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail ensure that families are treated with dignity and respect—often during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
