Trinity Sunday 06/01/2026

At yesterday's service, we commemorated Trinity Sunday and explored one of the clearest and earliest Trinitarian blessings of the early church.

Why does the Trinity matter? Because it gives us a glimpse into the very life of God—and, in turn, offers us deeper insight into ourselves. If God’s very essence is communion, relationship, and love, then perhaps we, too, come to know ourselves most fully not in isolation, but in community. Tune in to listen, learn, reflect, and grow. The choir blessed the worship with “Let All the World in Every Corner Sing” as the introit and “Find Us Faithful” as the anthem.

Many thanks to the rest of our worship leaders this morning!
-Jackie Navarro for serving as liturgist
-Bailynn Morris for serving as acolyte
-Mikaela Hill for recording the service
-Nico Marucut for being our accompanist
-Sandy Woolley and Julie Fisher for providing the delicious treats for coffee hour.

Pentecost Sunday, 2026 05/25/2026

What a powerful Pentecost Sunday it was yesterday!

Together, we remembered the day the Spirit came upon a gathered community and breathed life into what we now know as the church.

One of the questions we explored was: Why doesn’t every Sunday look like Pentecost?

Pastor Lydia reflected on the idea of “beginner’s luck”—how everything, in its earliest and most fragile stage, often needs extra care, extra grace, and extra power to take root and grow. But that does not mean the Spirit is any less powerful now.

The Spirit is still moving. Still breathing, gathering us, shaping us. Still reminding us, week after week, who we are and whose we are.

We are so grateful to our choir, who brought even more life and beauty to this Pentecost celebration through their music. They blessed us with “Let All the World in Every Corner Sing” as the introit, “This Is My Wish,” featuring Hannah Gultom as soloist, and “My Tribute” as the sung response.

Many thanks to the rest of our worship leaders for the morning:
-Jenelle Henderson for serving as liturgist
-Annalise Amezcua for serving as acolyte
-Mikaela Hill for recording the service
-Nico Marucut for being our accompanist
-Jeff Chamlee for providing the beautiful altar flowers in honor of Jenelle's birthday
-Stacy Manfredi and Jackie Navarro for providing the delicious treats for coffee hour.

For yesterday's Ascension Day service, our focal passage was John 17:1–11, delving into a topic so, so relevant to all of us.

And that is: when do we know when a season, calling, chapter, or project is done?

Jesus reveals that answer to us.

Is it when things get hard? No. When life becomes challenging? Not necessarily. When we are tired and ready to stop? No.

So how do we know when the time has come? Tune in to listen, reflect, worship, and grow.

Many thanks to the rest of our worship leaders this morning!
