FAQ: I want to cook and sell food by the side of the road. I can't afford to buy or build a fully enclosed mobile truck or trailer. I just want to make some extra money by using my pull-behind cooker or a grill to set up under a tent. Can I do this?

Answer: State law requires that most food sold to the public come from either a Retail Food Establishment or a registered Wholesale Food Manufacturer. Foods that require time or temperature control to be safely prepared or stored require either a permit or a license. Well between the rain about everytime we’ve opened, low attendance at events, and trying to do nights has been taking a toll on business. Tonight is one of the slowest nights we’ve ever seen in 2 years.
I’m trying to keep showing up to serve these burgers, but we are hoping things pick up soon.
I have some other things in the works, but I gotta keep these wheels rolling enough to make a living to be able to expand.
