Despite the university's suspension of course evaluations for this spring, students can still nominate outstanding professors for future teaching awards. Many of our faculty have truly extended themselves this spring to help students learn remotely. Please consider nominating one or more deserving faculty members!

Students are invited to nominate outstanding professors for teaching awards by completing a brief electronic nomination form found here:

- Louis Dembitz Brandeis Prize for Excellence in Teaching ($2,500 prize)
- Jeanette Lerman-Neubauer ’69 and Joseph Neubauer Prize for Excellence in Teaching and Mentoring ($5,000 prize)
- Michael L. Walzer ’56 Award for Teaching ($2,500 prize)
Prior recipients of an award are not eligible to receive the same award twice. 2020 Teaching Award recipients will be announced to all in May.
Teaching Awards Nominations Nominations for these award can only be made via this form. Comments on course evaluation forms are not considered to be nominations, although course evaluation comments are carefully read by the selection committee.

Hello all! As we approach course registration time, the SJSP UDRs are holding virtual office hours to answer any questions about classes and registration for the upcoming semester!
The dates for the meetings are as follows:
Monday (4/13) from 3:30-5pm EST
Tuesday (4/14) from 12:30-2:30pm EST
Friday (4/17) from 2-4pm EST
Please feel free to join a zoom meeting and raise any questions or concerns!

Do you want academic credit for your summer or fall internship?
SJSP 89a: Social Justice, Social Policy Internship
Class meets every other Wednesday night 6:30-9:30pm
If you are interning this summer or plan to do so in the fall in a setting related to social justice, social service, social policy, or social research, you could be eligible for academic credit through the Program in Social Justice and Social Policy.
Class will focus on connecting with other like-minded students dedicated to social justice inside and outside of the classroom.
