Rzr 800 transmission trouble. Synchronizer came out of its home while being towed out of the woods in gear. Shifted to neutral while moving and this is the result.
A little fancy welding and back together. Saved $800

Finally done! Fresh engine rebuild due to a bad crank. 2” lift, radiator relocation, and some wheel bearings. Going home tomorrow.

One pic is of an oil pan with a crack in it, we couldn’t explain why the engine failed until we found this. The other pic is from a transmission the way we’re told made a terrible noise in second gear, but upon initial inspection didn’t see anything wrong, as we reassembled, cleaned and re-inspected. We found a crack in second gear on the main shaft.
Thankfully we found both problems before the customer did after paying for repairs.

Done! The perfect storm of problems accurately diagnosed and repaired without throwing parts at it until it worked. Loose wire coming from the crank position sensor, a stuck fuel pressure regulator and a spark plug.

That escalated quickly

Testing throttle position sensor. Input voltage present, good ground, and output voltage in spec. Back to the drawing board on this 09 king quad 750. No injector pulse or spark.

Saving $300+ dollars for a new cdi box.
Yamaha began putting the starter relay circuit inside the cdi box, however it has a record of opening inside rendering the electric start useless, but if you give it 12 volts from somewhere else it works like a charm. I chose the fused main right beside it.
