🎩 Wishes do come true! But they come true faster, if your name is ALADDIN and you use a magic lamp. 🐈
On July 1st, ALADDIN got a "grip" on a genie lamp & wished for a loving home with his sister RAPUNZEL.
Two days later, his wish came true when Jenny adopted both cuties, who, when tinier, had been found in a cardboard box tossed in a Brentwood park.
Jenny said RAPUNZEL was a tad bit more timid than ALADDIN, but settled quickly at home, and the two were having fun faster than you could say:
"Thank you, genie, for granting my wish. Just wondering if tthe name "Aladdin" gave me a n edge over other kittens' wishes...."

🐈 Meet BALOO. He got a rave review from his Georgia sending shelter.🐕
He is scheduled to arrive on Saturday. He lost his home through no fault of his own.
This big boy has a big heart. We're told he is great with cats, and has been around livestock.
BALOO is 1 year old, 68 pounds, and has a St. Bernard blaze.
He is housebroken, walks well on a leash, ready to go on an adventure, or chill as a social sweetie in the house.
BALOO wants you to know he has family dog experience...and will dazzle you with his canine charisma.

🐕 Hooray for DOZER! He has a new family & a new, braver identity. 🏡
DOZER, a tiny 6 month Chihuahua mix traveled on a Georgia transport to Last Hope this summer with his sister DOLLY to greatly enhance the possibility of homes for 2 timid , cuties...with DOZER being the more timid.
Our doting volunteers worked 1 on 1 building his confidence....and he improved...
SO MUCH- that he was adopted by a wonderful family. They gave him the cowboy name MAVERICK...and he is settling in nicely at his
Home on the Range where maybe some deer but no antelope play...lol

🍪 Kudos to Hicksville High School National Art Honor Society. 🎓
The members of the Art Honor Society were very busy selling JR Cookies delicious "home baked" treats to raise $2,500 for 5 Long Island private rescues.
Hicksville HS National Art Honor Society donated a $500 check to Last Hope...and showed equal generosity to Little Shelter, All About Cats, Yorkie 911, and the Patricia Ladeau Foundation ( for cats).
JR Cookies is an amazing home-based bakery with a variety of types of cookies, brownies, and sourdough treats available.
JR Cookies bakes for many parts of NYS but they have a farm stand homebase in Hicksville.
The hometown Hicksville cookie collaboration between HS students & local bakers is a Mighty Sweet way to benefit homeless Long Islan pets.
