Once again, false information is being shared on social media about our property by someone lying to the public, and it’s creating unnecessary panic. We are not going to go back and forth on baseless claims, but let’s be clear — these statements are defamatory and cyberlibel.

The cats are here whether the “private camera” is seeing them or not, they are fed every day, by us, and have shelter. We will continue to care for them until we find someone we trust to care for them consistently in our place.

What’s more concerning is that this has already led to threats against our staff and residents. The individual(s) responsible have also been making threatening phone calls. This behavior is unacceptable and illegal.

If this defamatory harassment continues in person, on the phone, or online, we will pursue legal action and take whatever steps are necessary to protect our community.
