COL Laverne Amara, outgoing , relinquished leadership to COL John Weissenborn in a change of charter ceremony held last week at Fort Belvoir, Va.

COL Amara served as PM Expeditionary Energy and Sustainment Systems since June 2023 and was awarded the Legion of Merit for her tenure as PM as she retires from neearly three decades of service.

COL Weissenborn comes to PM E2S2 from the Pentagon, where he most recently served as an acquisition advisor to the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army.

PM E2S2's acquisition professionals in Virginia and Massachusetts manage the lifecycle for multiple combat support and combat service support capabilities, including power generation and power distribution; field feeding and field services; shelter systems; environmental controls; aerial delivery systems; and petroleum and water systems, and more.

Well done, COL Amara, and welcome to the Army's best CPE, COL Weissenborn! Congratulations to you both!
