Back on my previous rant

This morning I saw a business apologize for using Ai to advertise their space. They went on to say that they use what tools are available to them.. and then said they would like to hire an artists to advertise for them. Okay, cool. Thats a win. But.. they made it sound like they can't advertise without help.. that their whole staff can't figure out how to put a flier together... (they're an established businesses btw)

Yesterday, I saw a post from one of my fellow small businesses, worried that they won't have decent ads because they have realized Ai is bad.. as if an Ai ad is better than something you threw together yourself.

The world existed before generative Ai... businesses thrived before Ai, before social media, before email.

WE CAN LIVE WITHOUT GENERATIVE AI!

Canva is free. There's plenty of other design tools you can access for free. Your computer has Paint or other tools. You can add text to a photo on your phone. If you really want someone to do it for you, hire a student. Or talk to your local organizations. You may be able to find free help. Use a gif, or meme and make a post.

Come on. Moonlit Petrichor has been around for 6.5 years. We've been through hell. But we made it. And we did it without Ai. Just me and my computer. I use Silhouette studios and Canva. You can do this! We all can!
