Drifter Ferments is a fermentation specialty shop and café in the center of Warwick, New York.

Over the past four years, sourdough has been a special part of the retail selection at Drifter Ferments, but as our business grows, we are needing to make a change.

After this weekend, whole sourdough loaves will move to a special-order bake schedule. Bread will still be baked for our lunch menu, but retail loaves will now be made in more intentional batches.

Each bake will feature a rotating variety of breads and will be announced one week in advance through my newsletter.

Golden Dandy Sauerkraut, one of my all-time favorites, is stocked. This seasonal sauerkraut is made with New York cabbage, Californian dandelion greens, turmeric from and a bit of black pepper—each bite feels like giving your gut a big hug. It has citrus notes with a side of tart.

We’re also obsessed with the brine from this ferment in my household. A shot a day curbs inflammation. Gut shots are on the house right now, so come have a taste 😋
