Sometimes the pressures to "perform" summer perfectly creep up on me, when its a gorgeous day out, and I just want to stay inside, sometimes it can lead me to feeling guilty while I'm grieving. Hopefully some of these ideas can help you enjoy summer, while showing up for yourself & your grief.

Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience, and the enduring strength of Black communities.

At FriendsWay, we recognize that healing, remembrance, and connection are deeply rooted in our stories and histories. Juneteenth invites us to reflect on the importance of honoring the past while working toward a more just and compassionate future for all children and families.

As we celebrate this day of liberation, we encourage our community to learn, listen, and engage in meaningful conversations about history, identity, and belonging.
