In 2020, MiDA Advisors supported and proudly announced the launch of the African Women Impact Fund (AWIF) Initiative along with Standard Bank Group and the UN Economic Commission of Africa (UNECA) supported by BADEA the ARAB Fund for Economic Development in Africa. It was established with the aim of creating a sustainable investment platform to grow the number of women asset managers on the African continent.

This initiative aims to strengthen the economic empowerment of African women by accelerating the growth of African women fund managers. It will help address the fundamental gap in women managers’ access to the private and public investment ecosystem.

MiDA, SAVCA and USAID celebrated the kickoff of the Investment Support Facility segment of the WE>MI program with our 11 dynamic women fund managers. We were honored to host Treasurer Adam Cloud of the City of Hartford as our first speaker to share his perspective on investing in Africa.
